The private and external data centres behind EnforceGate vX run on locally produced solar power: panels on our private data centre's own roof, with on-site battery storage covering the hours the sun doesn't.

What this covers

The EnforceGate infrastructure resides in both our private data centre and an external data centre. This is where the threat intel feed, the account portal, and the classification service behind the curated domain lists run. Our private data centre in Valais, one of Switzerland's sunniest regions, has solar panels on its roof, feeding an on-site battery bank so servers keep running overnight and on cloudy days with little to no draw from the grid.

Our offices are not included in the above numbers. This is specifically about the infrastructure that runs the business: the data centres, not the buildings people work in. We'd rather state the boundary plainly than let "our infrastructure" be read as broader than it is.

Why we're telling you this, not showing it in the product

EnforceGate vX is self-hosted: it runs on your own hardware, inside your own network, on whatever power your organisation already uses. There is no cloud backhaul and no Exosys datacentre in the request path — that is the whole point of the product. So this page is a fact about us, the company that builds and operates EnforceGate, not a claim about your deployment's energy use, which we have no part in and no visibility into.
